PO700 had to do with the transmission top end or something like that. The feeling of not having 1st when you try to pull from a stop was fun. You might want to check the level of transmission fluid. I had to top mine off and the problem was solved.

When Monitored: Ignition on.
Set Condition: An active DTC is stored in the TCM.
This is an informational DTC letting you know that a DTC(s) is stored in the Transmission Control Module.

Very few OBDII scanners can read the TCM stored codes. You probably need to visit your local Dodge $ervice department for diagno$i$.

Bring it to autozone and have them read the code. (or any other place that reads it for free).
Most likely a sensor went out. Probably cost around 50 dollars at most to fix.
Transmission went into "limp home" mode.
No 1st gear, no overdrive, and hard shifting. Normal.
(I'm presuming a 4.7 - 45rfe trans)

I have an 04 dodge dakota 4.7 v8 and my indicator light came on
for the transmission light and got no clue what it can be. Truck
died as soon as light came on. Any ideas or comments would be
helpful. thanks
