Subject: 97 Dodge Dakota stuttering above 45mph IP: Logged
Message: Just yesterday my Dakota has started to have a very rough idle in drive, and when I'm driving if I go above 45mph its start to shake real bad. It almost feels like its running out of gas but it has half a tank in it. My friend suggested I use some fuel injector cleaner but that didn't help. Any ideas on what the problem might be? its a v8 5.2L dakota sport with 107k miles on it.

Message: Check the ignition coils. I had the same problem and it was a bad coil

Message: I did check for codes but all I got back was 12, its due for a tuneup anyways so I plan on doing that asap. Come Thursday I'm just going to put in a new ignition coil since they're not that expensive. A buddy at work suggested that it might be a bad fuel pump but I'll give the coils a try first.
Thanks
