I have a 2000 QC 4.7 4x4 and am wanting to upgrade my exhaust. I was looking into installing a cat-back kit. Can anyone tell me how hard it is to install? Specifically the Gibson kit.

Pretty easy - I went with their sweptside exhaust. Nice tone.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Did you have to cut or weld any of the pipes?

No welding. It was a couple years ago, I think just one cut where it joins the stock exhaust. Doesn't get much simpler than that.

I went with a cheap dual cat back from heart throb and switched the muffler with a 40 series from flowmaster. It sounded mean with a great rumble. It's not hard can do it in the drive way in 2 hours at most

I'm planning on installing a cat-back pretty soon. As far as Single Or Dual exit pipes, I have heard that the single exhaust kits actually provide more power than dual exhaust. Does anybody have any experiance with this and know if that is true.

I had a Magnaflow Perforamance installed with a converter put on. I like the sound and the increase power. But I would enjoy it even more when I get a new fuel pump.
