Message: hey, i got me some shorties yesterday! got em from summit racing ( Hedman Hedders 79540). so what i want to do is just run the new headers and have true duals w/o cats and dump them out like 1/2 down the truck. now, removing the cat will most certainly send off a check engine light about the O2 sensor. so, where can i get an O2 sim to trick the computer into thinking all is ok? any D.I.Y. ideas out there? thanks all.
~BIG J~ chi-town whats goin' on?

Message: I used a spark plug non fouler. Actully 2 of them. I had to cut the bottom out of one and weld it to the top of the other to provide enough clearance for the sensor. Then just screw it into the o2 bung. Its cheap and easy and works.

Message: Absolutely it could have other effects. I have only tried it on the downstream sensor after gutting a bad catcon on my ram. I guess you could always check the spark plugs to check for problems or use a scanner. But so far Ive had luck with it and its been about 2 years now. But your right you gotta take the bad into consideration too.
