 Subject: engine cutting out

My girlfriend has a 97 dakota with a 5.2. She has had problems
starting it recently. Replaced battery terminal connectors and had
battery checked. Starts fine now, but cuts out over 10 mph, and
the check engine light comes on. Possible air flow meter prob?

you need to read the codes to find out why the CEL is lit. that will give you a strating point. if it has a digital odometer you could try this:
tunr the key on/off/on/off/on and the codes should display in the odometer as Pxxxx and when it's done it will display Pdone.
