Message: Nitrous is only used at WOT, At WOT, the PCM is in OPEN LOOP mode, and ignition timing is based on data tables stored within the PCM.
Without a PCM reflash, Even if you could retard the timing, the PCM would advance it just short of ping anyway. That's what it does.
You need to get your Dak to a Dyno that can look at ignition timing during the run to see exactly what it is at WOT. Or get yourself a Scangauge II so you can watch ignition timing on the fly. THEN you will know what you need in the way of ignition timing mod.

Message: you can modify the crank sensor your self. all you have to do is elongate the bolt holes on it. the "mod" is to advance timing. the holes are elongated so that once you mount the sensor back you can slide it slightly to the right. you're gooing to want to go the opposite ditrection.
for your case i do not recommend this as you probably won't get the timing pulled that you need to. i suggest that you take Well now's advice
