Message: My 92 5.2 4x4 needs some more balls...I have a pcm on order and I was wondering if I went to my local motor shop if they can do my TB like the ones you can purchase? I know I can call but I am wondering if anyone had any experience with this yet? Also what about intake and heads? Is it worth the money?

Message: You can take your TB to a shop and have it massaged like those that you see for sale. If you have them do nothing else, milling off the tops of the venturies and radiusing the top helps and quiets the intake. I did my own machining on mine and that helped it a pretty good amount. I just finnished putting the TB back on mine a few minutes ago after I boared it out a bit and so for it seems better, even those I didn't take that much out this time. Couldn't tell you about the intake or heads, but i know it is done for our trucks by certain companies and i'm sure a local machine shop could do it just as well.

Message: The head work will give you the biggest bang for the buck. Bowl work is where the main difference will be made. Make sure the guy has done it before(a lot of times on a dodge). Just a little too much and you'll be getting new heads. So make sure he guarentees his work. A good ballpark guestimate on a good head job(no pun intended) would be 30 - 35 HP.
