The diagnostics test called it a intake control module... I'm assuming that it is also called bcm... Am I correct in this assumption? And where is the location of the module? I read that it's behind the driver side kick panel... Not sure what that means and what does it look like?

Would the BCM gettin wet have anything to
do with my headlights, interior lights,
and 4WD not working? I have unplugged it,
and attempted to dry them. My dome lights
flickered and turned back off. Headlights
still no change in function.

My 2001 dodge dakota left high beam does not work.
Changed bulbs, no help. My mechanic was able to get
it working by bypassing the body control module. He
says this is the problem. Any ideas? All other
electronics work. It is a four wheel drive, auto,
keyless entry, club cab, 4.7 litter.

I have a 2001 Dakota quad cab 4X4 SLT w/a 4.7L. eng. Everything works great except I can't program the overhead compass and nothing else seems to be working in it correctly, also I have 2 key fobs for the power door locks, those won't take programming either. Is all this tied into one module somewhere? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

my BCM failed about 2 yrs ago on my 01 Dakota 130k, lights were flashing , everything on the dash was going on and off, stealership wanted 1200.00 to replace it. I found one from a Durango at the u pull it for 18.00 worked fine other than a ck eng light code saying the pcm was not communicating or something.. no big deal, thought I would order the part from factory when I had time/$.. now I have both and the part is back ordered x49 from all over the US and no one knows of an eta... meaning, the part is no longer being made. I cant pass/renew my tags w/o that part thats matched to my vin is what I have been told. I can buy a universal part ,600,no warranty. I love my truck and it still runs great, I just cant drive it due to the tags being exp.. any suggestions??

my keyless remote fob stopped working. changed
batteries etc nothing was working. dealer couldn't get it to
"learn" the factory remote. said it was the body control
module. wants $350 just for that. all in with labor etc will
be almost $1K YIKES!!

I'd like to find the BCM and take it to my regular
mechanic to install if possible.
Is this the same thing as Central Timing Module?
