Hey everyone. I have a 2006 4.7HO 4x4 Quad cab Dakota that I want to put dual exhaust on. Any suggestions? I am looking into a Gibson system, but can't decide between having the pipes come straight out the back or angled behind the rear wheels. They say that the spare tire may need to be moved or taken out with the pipes going straight out the back. Has anyone had this issue? Has anyone put these systems on their trucks? Anything go wrong, need to drill holes, anything like that?
I am looking for opinions and experiences with these systems.

I had dual pipes angled behind the tires, old school mopar style on my 2000 dakota and I loved it. I ran the pipes over the leaf spring to keep them out of sight besides the tips. Everything is being re-done now though... If you happen to be in the Maryland area maybe you would be interested in some custom fabrication?

NEP01: Did you have your original exhaust custom made as well? I am in Wisconsin, so the custom fabrication would be out of the question.

Yes but that was before I was doing it myself. A friend did it for me. Any exhaust shop should be able to hook you up. Might not be as pretty as the stuff I am doing, but I was happy at the time, it looked good!

I recently had an exhaust shop put on single in dual out flowmaster 50 suv on my 02 QC 4x4. I went with the duals going straight out the back. They exit on either side of my receiver.
The made a Y pipe and routed the pipe around my spare so it's still under the truck

If it's 2 into 1, into 2,
it's still a single exhaust, IMHO
True duals, with a H or X pipe, THAT's dual exhaust.
