 Subject: Can you Index Spark Plugs on a 360?

Can you index the spark plugs on a Magnum 360? It looks as though the sparkplug comes in at a angle and is angled towards the exhaust valve. How are we supposed to index the plugs correctly or is it not worth it?

Yes. Usually need two sets of plugs to get a single set that'll index properly.

Since the spark plug is on the outside side of the truck (the fender side) and the spark plug is angled toward the exhaust valve, would it be proper to index it to twelve o'clock, meaning have the opening directly towards the valve cover? I know these spark plugs enter at an angle so is there a better o'clock arangement for maximum efficiency?

You want to be somewhere between around 1 o'clock to 5 o'clock for the electrode to have a good clear shot at the intake valve. You can also get indexing washers of variable thickness.

Facing the respective bank of cylinders. In other words, 12 o'clock being the upper aspect, between the intake and exhaust. Between 1 and 5 meaning, facing the intake valve.

You can only index on the 4.7, which is the best motor ever made. I have one and you don't. HA HA
