Sorry, I couldn't get the search to work. I wish to add at least a 50 shot fogger to my 02 4.7L and I am wondering if anyone else has done this. NOS makes a kit for the 5.2L but not for my engine. Can this be modified or does it come with a throttle body plate? If its just an intake tap with a 90 degree jet I can probaby use this. Also, for this small shot would I need to increase my fuel systems output? I plan on the multi-hole Ford injectors, but I wasn't really wanting to swap pumps out. What kind of Fuel pressure regulator does my truck have from the factory? Thanks guys. I have been drag racing for a few years and we always call it N-O-S, not "NAZ" or whatever. I sent the company an email about the kit and how to pronounce their name, so we'll see.

NX makes a kit for our Dakotas with a 50/75/100/150 shots. I run the 75hp shot most of the time and on the 'special' weekends run the 100hp shot. With the 75 you need 93 octane and when I run the 100 add some good octane boost. Also needed is the 180 t-stat and Autolite's 3922.

Why do they call their system a wet system? Wouldn't that involve another fuel line? Their product info is pretty shoddy. They don't list all of the items included in the kits or any details. I think if I rig up a NOS kit with a manual trigger I will be fine. A WOT switch going off when I shift from 1st to 2nd is not gonna work, and will just spin me out big time. Fogger system is what I am looking for. Thanks

I heard the dry setup is better for EFI motors...
I am really thinking about a 30-50 shot, but am
not sure if a universal EFI kit would work...its
either that, or save the cash for a
supercharger.

A dry system is not the way to go. it relys on the fuel from the motor to mix. the wet system sprays fuel and nitrous together. i highly recommend nx. best out there.

the 4.7l uses a returnless fuel system. this means wet is really the only option for the engine. the only dry kit I've seen that will work on the 4.7l is the vemom.
extra fuel will have to be added via the computer since there is no fuel pressure regulator to send a false signal to like most dry efi kits do.

how much? I always see the NX kit on ebay
for like $500...is that the same kit you're
talking about?
Is a WOT switch, a switch that activates the
NOS at WOT only? at the track, I only go full
throttle after it grabs traction...or do I have to hit
a switch, once it hits a certain gear???
(you can tell I am new to this) My brother said
I can run it directly into this P.O.S TB spacer I
have....any ideas? someone has to have a
setup on their 4.7 already.

A dry kit will most likely cause detonation, the wet kit adds more fuel to the mixture so that it doesn't lean out when you spray. A buddy of mine is running the wet kit in his Firehawk and it is awesome. The WOT switch is the way to go, besides that when you get the WOT switch, you can also do a manual override of the switch and just use it when ever. Also look into the Digital Maximizer, it will shut the spray off 100rpms before the shift point and tun it back on after it completes the shift.

The dry shot melted my spark plugs, so I got new plugs and added a wet side to the system. No melted spark plugs yet.
