Message: I have come up empty looking for 3.9 stroker kits, so am looking at a conversion to a 4.7 V8. The sweet original one-owner '87 short bed reg cab 4X4 has a stick with the 3.9. Excuse me if this question has been previosly answered as I am still a guest and don't have search privileges, but has anyone done this conversion? I presume I would have to get a standard trans with the 4.7, as I know mine is a weakling. Thanks.
