i have a 99 dakota with a 5.2 and last week i was driving and it just died at a red light.it will run but wont idle and my brake,check engine and abs light came on and my speedo quit working to.when i hook up a diagnostic reader it says the map sensor is bad but i put a new one on and it didnt take care of any of the problems any help would be greatly appreciated

brake, abs and speedo not working should be the RWSS(rear wheel speed sensor) in the center section of the rear diff. about 20-30 bucks for the part.

not likely shane. you probably need to clean the TB(throttle body) and IAC(idle air control) motor. really easy to do.
but, since you got a code for the MAP you might want to take a look at the little rubber hose connection on it. check and see if it is cracked. i don't think the MAP sensors go out very often on these trucks.
