Subject: anyone out there! IP: Logged
Message: No one has experienced or heard of problems with the 4.7 rocker arms or cylinder malfunctions.
It's a 2002 quad with 50000 miles, this problem is getting expensive to diagnoe and fix. Any positive suggestions could help

Message: Much about the answer depends on the synptoms you experience.
A bit of history would be more helpful.
Perhaps it's not your rocker arms or cylinders.
What makes you suspect the cylinders, anyway? the only thing that would make me do that is if a K&N style air filter has been used, but then I would suspect dirt had scratched up the pistons, and rings, also, and perhaps now the valves aren't seating properly.

Message: I wouldn't hazard that guess without more info; like you said. I've had a K&N on my '00 since the first filter change - no problems with the Dak or any other vehicle I've run them on. There's a lot of us out here, but we need a more defined question.

Message: Check the torque on your camshaft bolts. All of them.

Message: I never read the original post; would help if you give full information on each post instead of assuming we read them all. Can now say without a doubt that this has nothing to do with your air filter, since it is only on one side of the engine. Your mechanic may be on the right track. Along with checking the torque as mentioned above, inspect that cam for possible wear.
