Subject: oil on headers IP: Logged
Message: I blew a pin hole in my oil filter and had to drive about 5 miles home.Now i have oil baked on my right header. does anyone know how to clean HTC coated headers.

Message: Carberator cleaner. The real stuff that comes in a pail with a strainer pot. BE SURE YOUR CAREFUL AND DON"T GET IT ANYWHERE YOU DON'T WANT IT. BE SURE YOU USE RUBBER GLOVES> Try it in a spot you can't see from up above to be sure it doesn't remove anything extra.

Message: I called hedman hedders and they said to use 000 steel wool and simple green, then shine with never dull.and elbow grease. it worked. thanks anyway.
