Subject: 4wd engaged on its own IP: Logged
Message: This morning I drove about 75 miles, stopped for a minute with the truck running, got back in and noticed on a corner that it was in 4wd. The indicator said AWD. When I moved the switch around it would blink and eventually stay on 4Hi. When i shut it down and restarted, I can hear a motor making 2 separate noises for a second each and both a second apart that coincides with lights blinking on the indicator. It does this about 3 times then stays in 4Hi. Then "check 4wd system" comes on. Nothing I do can get it out of 4hi and nothing I do with the switch works.
I have an 01 AWD 4.7 CC with 175,000. haven't used 4wd in a while since it's an AWD truck. I use it on a construction site almost daily with lots of puddles and sand backfill.
