A any one know how to trick the computer into thinking that i realy didn't hack off my cat and run true duals on my 96, 5.2??? The check engine light is getting old. It's been on ever since i did the mod 3 years and 30,000 miles ago.

Nothing really constructive, except you might wanna check places like KRC for an O2 simulator box.
3 years and 30,000 miles????? Man I drive 30,000 in about 9 months.

What code shows up? Code 32? If so, just put a set of Flowmaster mufflers on your truck and the light will go off. Everybody around here runs true duals on their trucks. Dakotas with true duals and flows have no codes. If you run Dynomax muflers you will a check engine light. Check out the explanation for code 32 in a Haynes manual for full size Dodge truck 1996 and up.

I have a 99 5.2 4x4 and had Midas remove the muffler and replace it with a straight pipe. Only the cat muffles the exhaust. I also had them put on a 4" chrome resinator tip (about 18"-20" long)exiting in the stock location(behind the passenger side rear wheel). For more air flow I removed the entire air box system and put on an old fashioned chrome edlebrock 10" air cleaner and a K&N filter. I think it makes a difference, I dusted a 5.0 gt mustang(about a 93/94 I think) and a mitsubishi 3000 gt. At 115mph in 4th I shifted into 5th and he gave up. I think it sounds and runs good. But as the MAN said, OPINIONS VARY! I also noticed improved gas milage(when I can control the urge to put my knee in the injector!)

I have the same setup(exhuast wise) on a 97 reg cab with a 5.9. It sounds really nice exepct from 3g's to 3.5g's the exhaust note snaps. I know I could put the hurt on a GT and I put the hurt on a Eclipse GTS.

I was wondering if any one had ture duals off the manifold and then 3inch cats with striaght pipes out at 45% with no mufflers? I really would like to know how loud it is. If someone could let me know that would be great.
