After the dak warms up a little there is a rattle noise coming from the clutch. It happens at about 1500 rpm. If the truck sitts at an angle for a few minutes, then when reving the noise goes away, level it out and rev it up and it is back. It only did it originaly about two weeks ago under no load, but now it is under load too. Any ideas? This is the original clutch and has about 130,000 on it.

Message: with your mention of 'truck at an angle' and 'level it out',
I would check the transmission fluid level first.

Message: if you have the NV3500 manual transmission,
it's a large (21mm or so) recessed hex head plug on the right hand side,
fluid as to be within 1/2 inch or so from the edge.

Message: The Rattle is getting worse. It is now making a sutle rattle noise while stepping on it. I can not track it down. It is not the Cat, but sound like it is in the bellhousing.

Message: Doesn't make any difference what it is as long as your sure it's coming from in the bell housing. No matter what, you'll need to drop the trany. At 130,000 your ready to redue the clutch anyway.
