Subject: The time is right for Autolite!

Message:
My friends, with the price of gasoline escalating ever upwards, its more important than ever to take steps to save fuel when you drive. By changing your air filter regularly, you can save up to 3% in fuel costs. Other factors such as driving style and traffic can play an important role in your overall fuel economy.

However, one overlooked area where one can realize great savings is in the replacement of your worn out sparkplugs with a brand new set of Autolite ignition engineered sparkplugs! In nearly all cases, you will benefit with this important move. Imagine a motor that starts easier, idles smoothly, picks up smartly when you step on the accelerator, and returns good fuel economy. Yes, you can have all this by installing a set of Autolite sparkplugs. See your friendly Autolite dealer today. He will set you up with the proper Autolite plug number for your application.
Too busy to see your Autolite dealer? Then visit the website, www.autolite.com for online assistance.

From bumper to tailight, you are always right with Autolite!

Good night my friends!

I hate to give ol' Harlow any ammo but....Dad's 95 has been pinging since we put the MOPAR PCM in, even on 93 octane. So we ditched the Champions and put in some 3923's today and that seemed to cure the problem.

Step up to the counter and ask for Autolite by name. Join the thousands of other motorists who have made the switch. Then you'll see what I mean by starting right with Autolite!

I'm a new owner, ("02" 4.7 QC 3.92 SLT+) and have joined a few groups to learn and study. This is my retirement veh, as after 25 years on "patrol" I've finally found a vehicle I can call an all purpose ride.
My problem: I find Harlows messages (in at least two of the forums I visit) an advertisement, much like an unsolicited e-mail. Harlow, because of you, I will not purchase Autolite plugs. Sorry for the complaining, but got tired of seeing his self fullfilling greed.

Dano, I am sorry to hear you feel I am being greedy.
I gain nothing on the sale of Autolite sparkplugs.
Not one cent.
I just know that Autolite makes a superior product.
However if you feel otherwise, you can exercise your right not to choose Autolite.

I think if you had given some comparisons and maybe even a little insight as to why autolite plugs are better than other plugs, your view wouldn't have come off like you were trying to convert me to another religion.

But since I am looking for performance plugs for my Dakota, I will definently research autolite plugs and try to find some comparisons to see if they perform as good as you say.

Alright Harlow, you replied with dignity, and I respect that. I do have to agree with detho9000 about checking them out. Finally, if you truly get nothing out of promoting them, I would think your efforts would be better spent curing diseases or stopping wars, because you do have a way with words.

Take care,

Dano

Dano you are a fool to use an inferior plug just because you find Harlow offensive. I like Harlow, I like Autolites. If it wasn't for Harlow I too would still be using an inferior plug. Thanks Harlow.

Your performance will be low if you don't listen to Harlow.

I listened not only to harlow but to many many others on this board. they said they tried them and loved them compared to others. I have always believed to learn from others mistakes, so i bought some autolites and thought i'd give them a try. I went with the 3923's like everyone else (instead of the recommended 5224 like the dealer says) and i definatley noticed a huge difference in power and MPG.

"i did all right, from headlight, to tailight, using autolite"

thanks again Harlow

The only "war" I like to fight is the war against rough idle, lack of pep, and poor MPG in a Dakota.

I have found from my own experience as well as that of others that using Autolite igniton engineered sparkplugs addresses all three of the above issues. Throw in a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty and you can't go wrong.

Take it from millions of motorists who have switched to Autolite sparkplugs. They'll be glad to tell you how much better their automobile runs and surely they love the savings at the pump.

So give Autolite a try today won't you?

If they could just find a way to keep the shell of
the plug from rusting.
Salt spray from the roads here in Pennsylvania
force me to stick with Bosch (they don't rust).

Rusted shells won't affect the performance of your plugs, but will get your socket rusty when your replace your plugs

I've been using Autolites for 20+ years. Harlow do you think it's time to change them?

NO effect on performance but when you see rusty plugs
under the hood of a show truck it looks bad and the
