Subject: 4.7 Dakota Engine Dies at Stop IP: Logged
Message: I just started having problems with my 2000 Dodge Dakota. It started shifting really hard but not slipping around 3-4 months ago. Now with in the last week if I come up to a stop sign the motor stalls and dies.....Its not throwing any check engine lights or nothing and it restarts right away with out any problems. Can someone help me out and let me know whats wrong so I can get it fixed. Thanks in advance

Message: Check the Idle Air Compensator valve. It might have a sitcking plunger.
It's attached to the throttle body right below the throttle position sensor.
