Message: If you plan on going fast and anywhere far: no. I hauled close to that weight of concrete wall blocks (for 5 miles) and my rear axle was on the bump stops. The rear end was swinging all over the place on turns. It was not a happy feeling even at 35MPH.
You are better off hauling that load in a trailer. Provided you have a hitch receiver you will have no problems what-so-ever.
What's your left foot doing? ============== 2002 Graphite QC SLT Plus, 4.7L, NV3500, Superchips 3715, 3.92 LSD, R/T rear swaybar, no chrome, loads o'fun... 2001 Patriot Blue Durango SLT, 4.7L, 45RFE, Superchips 3715, 3.55 Open (for now) 1999 Forest Green Dakota RC Sport, 2.5L, NV1500, 3.55 Open

Message: I have a '99 3.9 and at different times I've hauled a scoop of gravel, scoop of sand, scoop of mulch, full bed of dirt (not quite a scoop), 80 20# landscaping stones, and a skid of pavers for my 12'x12' patio. Each time the fender well was about an inch or so from the top of the tire. Thankfully, I have suppliers within 5 miles of my house so I didn't have too far to drive. My truck performed very well and handled well too...just had to anticipate stops a little sooner than normal.
I'm not sure how much each load actually weighed but it was probably pushing the max if not more.

Message: ive loaded my 93 way way over the max payload of 1450lbs many times. never broke anything. I had a yard and a half of rock in there once. that was definitely the scariest load.

Message: i agree with kowalski.sometimes u get away with it sometimes u dont.make 2 trips or get a friend with a truck to run with ya.either way its better then sittin by the side of the road with lets say one of your axles layin 500 yards behind u.20 bucks in gas for 2 trips beats 75 dollar tow plus fixin it and the agravation.
