Subject: Eratic mileage IP: Logged
Message: Is there any problem, mechanical or otherwise, that could lead to some pretty eratic mileage differences between fills at the pump(50 to 75kms per tank). My driving style is pretty consistent, so I'm pretty sure it's not that. Also, is there any way to tell if my computer has been flashed, or a superchips program has been downloaded? Is there a mileage flash that can be done? I tried to convert miles to kilos, and I think it's about 10mpg in the city on average.
Any thoughts?

Message: 50 to 75 km is roughly 30 to 46 miles respectively.
Seems a reasonable variation, considering weather, humidity, headwinds, road conditions (wet or dry), type of gas you buy, tire pressure, a/c use (defrost setting runs the a/c system to blow cold dry air on the windshield), etc.
If any program updates have been made to your PCM, by law there must be a label stuck to the PCM. Or very close to it in the case of more than one, since thay must all be visible and readable.
