I have what seems to be a engine miss or fuel problem when I excelerate mainly at lower speeds and also at higher speeds. It feels like the engine is jerking or spruttering out. If I give it gas it clears up but at higher speeds it will jerk if I speed up then let up on the gas. This happens most when engine is cold. At higher speed the engine still jerks when warm. I have given it a full tune up plugs, wires cap, rotor, pcv valve fuel filter, air filter. Still nothing, put coil, dibstibutor, oil drive gear, block bushing, tps sensor, enginetemp sensor "the one to the computer" I have had it to two local shops, one shop told me there is nothing wrong "I think his clue was as good as mine" the other shop said the tps but that did not work. The tranny was rebuilt 8 months ago I even brought it back to them just to verify thats not the problem. I sure hope someone can help me. Thanks

Have you removed the throttle body for a thorough cleaning? I owned a '92 5.2 once, and had to replace the PCM computer at 160K. Also replaced the catalytic converter and O2 sensor about the same mileage. I remember replacing the TB kicker on the back of the TB once.

Have not cleaned TB yet but the shop said thats not the problem but I'll do that anyways. the cat. has been removed way before this problem and strait pipe inplace of that. Could having no cat cause this? What is the tb kicker?

do the engine code reading. turn your key back and forth 4 times then leave it on the acc on position and the check engine light will flash

when it flashes the check engine light will flash as many times as it needs then it will pause with the dash being blank and then start again. it will do this until its done. if you get a engine 55 code theres nothing wrong its just the computer saying end of codes
