Subject: FWD on pavement feel while in AWD

Message:
I have an 01 Dakota quad cab sport model, automatic with a 4.7. I recently got a p441 code which I understand to be a code associated with vaccuum seals (sorry, not a mech). Within 10 miles of driving I found that the wheels were binding during turns, like it was riding in FWD. The indicator showed that I was in AWD which is normal. I ran a diagnostic by flipping the ignition 3X and reading the code (p441). I think they are unrelated and occurred coincidentally. Am I wrong? If they are in fact unrelated, what could I be dealing with?

GAS cap lose or shot can do this.

If I get very low on gas, then only put a couple of gallons in it, I get the same error. I've also gotten that error code from a loose gas cap. Must be a very sensitive system.

The two problems should be unrelated. Might want to check the power steering as well as the AWD for the other problem.
