Message: msd does make a box for multiple coils, but i dont know if it can retard timing like my boost timing management btm. i know duner has the 4.7 in 1 of his trucks that was turbod and didnt have anything for timing retard. but he was cooling the sh*t out of the air.i guess he said he left the aic in the manafold and it would pull out enough timing. i know im free saturday morning,i need to replace a leaking front seal on my truck. and graphite lives right up the street from me

Message: Word. I'll come down if I get the chance. I'm leaving for FL next week so I have to button up a few things here first.
How was he cooling the air so well. I'm doing the rear mount setup and I'm going to be putting an intercooler on there too. It's going to be on the passenger side of the vehicle underneath the seat area. There is enough room to put a 28x5x3 intercooler there. I think that will help out a lot. Oh wait, duner was using a water to air cooler right?

Message: yes he is. i'll be going to the track this coming friday night,a couple people are coming out too, a neighbor with his 08 f350, and a guy with an 93 ish camaro, that has an 383stroker,so if intrested let us know.
having an intercooler way back there i dont think would be a good idea, chance of rocks hitting it that bounce off road and you need air moving across it to cool air, unless you install elec. fans on it or something, something you have to think about with rear mount turbo, you are going to have turbo lag, and need an oil pump back there to return oil to motor, than if that pump stops working you wont know it and say goog by to turbo! another option is to install turbo up fron and do an water/air like duner or water/methanol injection! snow performance has a good kit,not too much $$

Message: I'm thinking about putting it up front. I read on another Dakota board that a guy ran a pipe from the y-pipe, underneath the engine, and then up front to meet the turbo as opposed to making a custom manifold. I will do this instead of the rear mount turbo. This way I can have the turbo up front where duner had his. This way I can t-off from the oil pressure sending unit and then drain oil back down to the valve cover or oil pan. Probably oil pan though. This will also cut out a lot of piping and other crap like the oil pump.
So are you guys think this sounds like a better idea than rear mount? I'll be getting a new y-pipe as well. That way it will be easier to turn it properly and send the pipe in the right direction.
So now all I need are oil lines, wide band A/F, y-pipe, waste gate, FMU, and fuel pump.
I'll be outta town this week and I'm pissed because I've been wanting to go down to the track now that I have my superchips. But I'm going home to Florida for a week on vacation. I probably wouldn't be coming back if I didn't have to leave my Dak here. Good luck on Friday. You better post your new times when you get them! I'm talking about right from the track as your pulling back in line.:)

Message: Hey dude, here is the link to the site I saw that turbo setup on. The second picture down is the piping I'm going to copy. I won't be getting a new y-pipe though.
