Subject: R/T Tire Size IP: Logged
Message:
I have a 2000 Club Cab R/T that I bought used a while back. The previous owner had put larger tires on --P275/60R17 size. I need new tires and am planning to go back to the stock P225/55R17 size. Since I have owned it, I have noted that the speedometer and odometer are off by about 10 percent (60 MPH indicated is really about 66 MPH true). Since no adjustments were apparently ever made for the larger tires, can I expect everything to snap back to normal with the stock tire size going back on? Or is there some other issue could pop up? Thanks.

Message: The stock R/T tire size is 255/55/17. I run Michelin LTX Pilot of that size on my R/T 17x9 rims; 28" tall.
