i have a 91 dakota with the 5.2L 318. i was on my home from work and came out from the store and noticed my truck cranked hard n that it wasnt charging the battery. i replaced the alternator n that did nothing. i checked for power to and from the alternater. n still nothing. i checked and cleaned the in-line fuses. n still nothing. does anyone have any suggestions?

not sure about a '91 but later trucks have the voltage reg. built into the PCM.
