Message: You have a crack in one of the hoses coming from that box under the drivers seat and in front of the gas tank. I think it is the evaporative systems filter or something like that. I had that same code 3 weeks ago. When I looked under the truck I saw the box with hoses coming out of it and sure enough, there was a small crack in the large rubber hose coming out of it. I wrapped it with electrical tape and the code went away in a few days. If you want it to leave immediately, just reset the computer after you fix the crack.

Message: Maybe. It's also possible that your gas cap wasn't screwed on tightly, or the o-ring seal on it has failed. This code won't always be caused by the same thing for everyone.

Message: the gas cap as kowalski said. you can take it off and put it back on, make sure you clicks 3 times.
check under the truck in front of the fuel tank along the rail there is a hose that connects from the evap can to the hoses leading to the engine area. specifically look at the u-shaped hose.
Open gas cap to let out pressure, then you can just pull hose off. check it for cracks and breaks.
I had this u-shaped hose crack on my 02 QC 4x4. a new gas hose cost me $1.50 at advance.

Message: $30 and $82 for a few feet of hose,,, WOW
Try this, IF there's enough hose length, pull the hose off, cut the hose about 1" past the cracking so you can show the parts store what diameter of hose you need. Push the clean cut end back onto the fittings, then go to the parts store to get replacement hoses. Probably only cost you $5 once you figure out what size and length of hose you need.
Heck, if you can leave the truck sit during the repair, just remove the hoses and take them to the parts store. The parts store probably won't have molded hoses like are on the truck, but the stuff on the rolls usually works just fine,,, and will save you $90.

Message: I would like to do that but the dealer told me that the hoses from the vapor box are like a kit one small crack no matter where on the hose the whole thing needs to be replaced
