Subject: running lean under 3500rpm IP: Logged
Message: well i monitor my a/f gauge and its in the red until i hit about 3500 rpm then it shoots to the stoich/rich. On start up it hesitates and has a low slightly rough idle. Then if I accelerate its will hesitate and sometimes pop from the air intake. I notice it wont do this only if i blip the throttle a few times, i will just be lean. Iv replace the IAC VALVE, TPS, IAT, TEMP SENSOR, FRONT O2 SENSORS. Im wondering if it could be the MAP sensor. well if you guys could help me with this dilema. thank you.

Message: could be your 1.7 rollers letting too much air in, try switching back to stock. map may be the problem also.

Message: The rockers don't just let in additional air they let in additional mixture. Sensors maintain the proper mixture.

Message: The MAP is the only other thing that it could be, but I would still suspect an 02. I know that you replaced them, but it just sounds on how they act. Mine went crazy on my 3.9. When they go out they try to take the whole truck with them.
Finally... a V8. '01 Dodge Dakota RC, 4.7, 5-speed, 3.92 LSD. = R/T Killer. well at least a stock one

Message: alright it probably is the map, change it. if that doesnt't work, I would look into injector atomization issues(injectors clogged or failing, try injector cleaner but be careful not to put more in than suggested, as it will kill your o2 sensors). Or it may also be too much air from your 1.7 rr's + the 52mm tb.I understand that your sensors should be telling it to increase fuel if thats the case, but your ecm will only allow your injectors to increase duty-cycle so much from your base fuel map, no matter how much your sensors tell it to. so if all else fails try your original rockers, its very cheap and wont hurt anything. hope that helps bro.
