Subject: 2001 R/T Headers?

Got headers? What are you using and why?
Are they emissions legal & what are you doing about the O2 sensors?
Kinda curious if anyone is using the KRC PPH & Katbox combo...
Thanks!

Do you have pre-cats on your '01? If so, JBA shorties are the only option for a 'legal' setup. Anything using a katbox is not technically legal, though most should pass a sniffer test.

I have the Gibson SS headers of my 2001 5.9 QC. They work just fine.

I have the PPH headers on my 01 R/T along with a carsound cat, o2 simms box and magnaflow muffler.

Just doing the entire exhaust made a huge difference in performance. The truck pulled hard through the rpms and went down the highway with ease. The biggest improvement was getting rid of the factory cats(3) and having 3" matching pipe the whole way down. Plus mine is dumped so there are virtually no bends in the exhaust.

O-yeah if you want the headers to look good get the coating. My chrome ones turned blue the first day out.
