Message: 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad-Cab V-8 4x2 w/96K miles "bucks" like a bronco horse when the brakes are applied at 45-50 MPH. This is a vertical up and down motion. Suspect engine to transmission bolts loose, loose motor mounts, or something else in the drive train. Anyone else had this or a something close or any idea as to cause?

Message: MOP4RPWR... Thanks! I know the front disks brakes are bad. OEM disk pads still on at 96K miles and suspect the OEM rotors are warped given the pulsation I can feel in the pedal when the braked are applied. When I had the ball joints replaced about 30K ago, the Dodge dealer said the pads were about 50% worn and I have not had any indicators of the pads being worn out. I plan to replace the rotors and pads soon. Perhaps that will also cure the bucking problem. My underbody check does not reveal any drive train problems apparent to a novice, such as loose bolts, welds, etc. Thanks again, Dave

Message: mine is doing the same thing, so if you put aftermarket rotors on your truck, let me know how they work b/c I should probably do the same thing.
