Subject: What were they thinking? IP: Logged
Message: Whoever decided to put the AC and the Power Windows on the same electrical circuit? Why? I have a short in the circuit and my AC quit working suddenly, It wasn't all that hot outside so I thought I would just roll the window down. WRONG. It doesn't work either. I just had the tranny replaced and now this. The problem seems to have something to do with the wiring at the ignition. any idea which circuit is shorted and how to fix the problem. or should I just drive the damn thing into the river and be done with it?

'97 RC V6, 5spd, soon to be V8, 5spd! Maybe not a 5-speed, but an automatic will work.

Message: A fuse can be broken at the side and not show . NO ground, bad connection or relay are the options. Shorted hot wire blows the fuse.

Message: My 01, QC, has the turn signals, and the radio on the same circuit. The ignition switch is original, and sometimes I have to simply 'wiggle' the key while it's running to get the turn signals to work.
Thought this might help.
Until mine gets bad enough, or won't pass inspection, I'll keep doing this.
