Message: So i've been told that when you change a fuel injected engine's valvetrain the computer won't be able to run the right ignition timing and fuel inection timing and so on. I was told that you would have to bring the vehicle to a performance shop and have the computer flashed with a new program. Is this true or can i just swap out the valvetrain with new stuff and not worry about it.

Message: Not exactly true - if the new valvetrain stuff is compatible with the old settings, you'll be fine. If you've altered the flow so radically that you need more fuel, that could be adressed with bigger injectors or a PCM flash, if demands are beyond what the present PCM will adjust for using O2 sensor readings.

Message: I need to get my computer flashed and I was told that BG does it. Now is this Barry Grant? or someone else? Does anyone know who does this?

Message: I think that might be BG Chrysler ? Try a search on that. Would probably help if you'd post why you think you need a flash and what you have - there are both dealer and custom flashes available, but not all are for everything. Just what is it you are trying to do ?
