Can someone pass along a tip on seperating the hoses from the drier on a 99 Dak V8. I have taken the clips off but am now stumped.

go to the auto parts store and get the plastic 4 piece set of quick disconnects (each one is a differnet color and does a differnet size hose). Around $10 for the set. I found the plastic ones to be much better than the metal scissor type quick disconnect.

The clamps are for added security in keeping the hoses together.

It looks like this

often called a/c quick disconnect or fuel line quick disconnect.

You just wrap that disconnect tool around the hose, push it inside the joint to release the connection mechanism and hold it there while you pull the 2 hoses apart.

It's very easy to do with the plastic disconnect tools. You'll wind up using 2 of them as the in and out hoses are 2 differnet sizes.

I'm assuming you've already evac'd the system of course.
