Message: I've had some issues with the ignition cutting out on my 93 v-8 ext. cab it dies and doesn't restart until you let it cool down. I have replaced module in distributor, coil, wires, cap rotor. and traced wires fixed grounds the only other thing i can think of is the pcm is cutting. If there is anyway to tell if the pcm is going please tell me.

Message: Are you sure it's the ignition and not fuel?
When was the last time you checked fuel pressure/flow?
Could be fuel filter.

Message: considering its a 93 it could be the fuel pump
and yes check the fuel pressure

Message: it isn't fuel because we hooked the guage up to it and staged it, it died and fuel flow stayed constant at 35 psi when it died, that and there was not stumbling before it died, i pulled a wire off and tested it on the manifold and there was no spark.

Message: I dont know for sure if the 93 had this but it may be worth looking into. Some FI cars and trucks have a temp sensor for the computer alone that could be giving a too hot reading when the engine is at normal operating temp. If this is the case then the ECM could be shutting down the engine to prevent it from overheating, thus you have to wait till it cools before restart. These sensors are usually not the same as the guage sensor so you will prolly be reading correct on the dash. I would check if there is a resistance check or another test for the sensor if you have one before replacing the ECM. Temp sensor = <$10 ECM = >$100... you do the math.

Message: Pick-up coil inside your distributor under your rotor. They get too hot and then cut out and kill your ignition for 10-20 mins. Also called a stator coil, they can sometimes be tested on or off the vehicle. Try it.
Just a thought.
Peace

Message: This problem has been covered alot in this forum. Read a few of the previous posts for some potential answers. I had this same trouble with my 94 and it ended up being the transmission, which was going bad. When the fluid in the torque converter got to hot a sensor triggered the computers auto shutdown feature. Then you will get no spark until the fluid cools down. If your 93 runs fine in the driveway then dies after 15 minutes of driving, check your fluid. If it smells burn't get it fixed and the frequent stalling problem will stop.
Or you could check the factory wire splice under the relay box on the drivers side fender wall. It gets blamed alot for sudden stalling troubles and it could be your problem too.
like I said read some of the previous posts for more info regarding the various
auto shutdown/stalling/dyeing symptoms.
Good luck and let us know what you find.
