Subject: Amsoil Air Filter IP: Logged
Message: Hello,
A lot of talk about K&N air filters coming soon for Dakotas.
Amsoil does make a foam filter replacement which claims much better performance than your stock paper filter.
Considering buying one and giving it a try. Has anyone purchased a Amsoil air filter?

Message: K&N filters are probably better, but they don't have one manufactured at this time.
I just use the Fram brand from Wal-mart.

Message: My mistake, your right about the K&N air filters. Also on their website they have cold air intakes.
Anything to improve MPG would help, especially the talk of gas maybe going to 4.00 a gallon in some areas

Are we talking engine performance, or filter performance?
Those K&N style filters give better air flow because they don't filter as well as the paper element. The exception is the new AEM filter.
