I have a 2001 dakota 4.7 that will not start, it cranks over but wont fire. The gas gauge wont read know and the cluster says nobus. It has no spark or voltage going to the coils. I checked all of the 5.0 volt sensors and none of them have any voltage referance. I also put a reman pcm in and that made no diferance. The scan tool will not communicate with the pcm but it will communicate with the ABS, SRS and body computers. I even put in a new crank sensor. I dont know what else to do. I have been a Honda / Acura tech 18 years now and now I wish I would of got more knowlage in other makes of vehicals. Thank Alot.

The "nobus" means something isn't registering; either going to or coming from the PCM. Could be bad wiring, or a bad ground. Sure the reman PCM is good ?

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Pure shot in the dark-- bad auto shutdown relay. Shoot, I just googled "bad auto shutdown relay" and got a lot of hits. May want to read a few of them.

Under the passenger side front head there is a camshaft sensor held in by 2 bolts. This is more than likely your problem.

Good Luck
