Like I mentionned previously,
I'm sure their products are at least equal or superior to the Mobil 1 line in general, but unfortunaltely it's some of the individual dealers trying all sorts of tricks and gimmicks to sells them that really gives Amsoil a bad reputation.

911mike stated (or asked) in an earlier email:

"how many product lines does your "Best in Synthetics" company have?"

If you drive up to the pump you can buy regular or premium gasoline. Your choice is dependent upon what the manufacturer recommends and/or your modifications.

The same holds true for gear lubes.

Do you drive mostly highway?
Do you drive stop-and-go city?
Do you race and/or off-road?

Your answer determines your gear lube. Amsoil Basic or Severe Gear.

Really simple isn't it (if you use your brain and think).

I am getting really tired of being the "nice guy" on this website ...

so why don't you stop being an A.R.S.E.H.O.L.E.

you atacked steve first, and when he pushed back you hightailed it.

i confirmed steve's post that dale earnhart uses amsoil gear lube.
dale's race team buys direct from a dealer on the west coast.

good enuf for dale, good enuf for me.

i certainly don't drive as hard as dale does.

Amsoil is in no way affiliated with Amway.

Taken directly from wikipedia.com :

AMSOIL INC. was founded by Col. Al Amatuzio. The company was initially spelled "Amzoil" for "Amatuzio's Oil." It was then changed to AMSOIL. Contrary to popular belief, AMSOIL is not, nor has ever been a part of or a sister company of Amway.

Dodge trannies are known to be weak.

I doubt if it is the fluid's fault if one blows.

Whether they use Mopar, Havoline, RP, Redline, Amsoil, or another fluid

I know lots of guys that have tranny problems using Mopar atf

HUH got it correct. Transmissions blow no matter what your using. Especially the ones being pushed beyond intended use. That covers the hot rodders in here which are many. You see this all the time in professional racing, especially Drag racing. Myself, I'm not recommending anything but I do use AMSOIL in ALL my running gears and MOBIL EP in the engine. I have done this sense 30,000 miles and pushing 80,000 with absolutely nothing happening. I take that back. Something did happen. My gas mileage went up about 2 MPG.
I read in here every day. I have seen nothing to indicate STEVE and SHATTO are one in the same person. I'd like to know how anyone else proved this as correct and if so I'd like to know how you did it. I bet money not a single person has any kind of proof positive what so ever. If you do, Lets see it and your explanation how your so called proof qualifies as gospel. Steve PAYS for the right to advertise in these forums. He goes beyond his rights to explain things to people that need help. At times he gets the answers from one of his brothers . These guys, or at least one is a mechanic. The others run dealerships of which at least one is a Dodge dealer. He has been a terrific help to many of us over time. You few guys keep screwing with a good thing, one day you will lose it. I admit, Steve repeats a lot of things in here none of which you HAVE TO READS. But if you think, there are new guys showing up on a regular basis and to those guys the info is new and usful. There was a day we all was one of them.
As far as SHATTO goes, I no longer direct anything to him due to a statement he made to one of my posts that was prejudices and that's as far as I'll go into that subject.
I'm not trying to start a war here. I'm trying to stop an ongoing bashing that needs to end. Put yourself in Steve's shoes.

Well, Well, Well ...

Interesting to see how this thread went DOWNHILL over the weekend.

THANK YOU EVERYONE who posted the FACT (repeat FACT) that AMSOIL is NOT, and has NEVER BEEN associated with, a division of, or in any way associated with Amway. Two totally different companies. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to point this out.
