Subject: Can't figure this out IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1992 V8 Dakota and every time I accelerate past 30 mph it chugs stops and then once I maintain a speed around 55-60 it chugs constantly. It's not bad most times but it almost feels like something is skipping. I don't know if it's electrical or the transmission. A second opinion from someone would be much appreciated

Message: yeah i would check the ignition system..... most likely cause if its acting like that under a load meaning giving it gas or light throttle cruiseing... the coil could be breaking down and dropping spark...

Message: I'd say it's probably a fuel delivery problem.
As your engine speed/load increases, there's a demand for more fuel. If your fuel pump cannot deliver it, it will chug. also, check your fuel lines themselves -- i've seen cases where rotting fuel lines begin to close up, restricting flow.

Message: Best bet i would say is your spark plug wires. One is most likely broken inside the wire and barely making contact. Under load it cant deliever that spark to the spark plug. I would start by changing wires and see what shape the cap and rotor is in make sure its not cross firing
