I have a 03' R/T with 255/55/17 wheels .... they are bald and i need a new set .... but it seems that he size it hard to find.... what would be a good replacement size to fit my rims .... wider/taller ?

Forseti, a few years ago a R/T owner told me about Michelin LTX Pilot 255/55/17. That's what I went for when I bought a set of R/T 17x9's for my '01 RC 4.7 5-spd. I have 163K on the truck, and are now on the second set of LTX's. The first set went 65K miles with rotation every 5K. The tires are quiet, are fantastic in rain and snow, and off the line traction is terrific. They run about $180 each, but when you factor in the cost-per-mile and performance, its a bargain. Note that this particular LTX is a Pilot, which has more performance characteristics that regular LTX series.

www.tirerack.com they are cheap and have plenty of tires in that size. That size tire looks perfect on that model truck, not too big, not to small. You can also see the tire specs for each size on their site irf you want the same height with a wider width. Check it out.

I am going to be putting a set of r/t wheels on my 02 dak and am going to be going with 275/55/zr17 General Grabber UHP. They look awesome and are the best ranked tire in their class and also only cost about $110. Check them out on tirerack.com. They would be on my truck already if I had the money or needed tires any way.
