I am planning on droping in a 5.2 into my dakota. what is the best of the cheaper camshafts to put into a magnum motor to give more torque?

There are no "cheap" roller cams.

Competition Cams CCA-20-744-9 $295.95 at Summit.com
You will also need new valve springs. It's a good cam with more low and mid-range torque.
