I know ive seen previous post on this problem on the 4.7 dakota. But does anyone know why when im comming to a stop and when its fixing to cut off, i rapidly put it on neutral and it idles back to normal and doesnt cut off.
Another problem im having is when excelarating the truck hesitates to shift. Normally around 2500-3000 rpms.
any help will be appreciated

By the way my truck is a 2001 Dodge Dakota Qaud Cab, with a 4.7

have you serviced the tranny lately? it sounds like the torque is staying in lock up. that would explain why it stays idleing when you shift to neutral.

The truck is also under more load from the transmission being in gear wether the converter is locked up or not.
