I had a 50 series once, but changed to a 70 series to reduce interior noise. The sound out the tailpipes was nearly the same with either one.

Bigbrew, I just went from a 40 Series to the 50 Delta Flow on 2 1/2" pipe, dual out the back. (R/T 5.9). A lot less resonance inside but still sounds good outside. The muffler shop owner has the SUV version on a 4.7 and it was too quiet. You made a good choice. Have fun!

I had the 50 series SUV on my 5.2 Dak (previous owner installed it, so I never heard the stock exhaust), and it was too quiet for my tastes. It sounded good, but I wanted to hear it inside a little too!
It, along with most of the exhaust, rusted to he11 so I replaced the factory cat-back with a custom bent dual-out cat back with a 14" SI/DO Magnaflow and 2.5" pipes. At highway speeds I forget it's even there, but for around-town driving, it definately lets me know it's there!
Outside, it's damn loud!
But I like loud...

Nothing wrong with loud. Let's 'em know your there. The muffler shop owner had the 50 Series SUV on his 5.2 Dak and you couldn't tell it was there. I'm not that old yet. Maybe 10 yrs from now I'll tone it down. My 50 Series Delta with Flowmaster Stainless 3" tips on the 5.9L is just right. Loud outside, quieter inside (I can here my music now). Magnaflows are nice too. I added a new Magnaflow High-Flow Cat. Converter to mine. Have fun with it!

I've got the 40 series on my 04 4.7 with 2.5" in and 2.25 duals out and it sounds sweet, especially when the rpms crank up. Very little cab noise at highway speed, just a slight growl.
