 Subject: black plastic netting

lately when i turn my ac on full blast it sprays out pieces of this black plastic netting material out of the vents. when i take off the cover f the vent there is usually even bigger pieces. has anyone had this happen to them or know where its coming from?

Mine is blowing old dryrotted foam dust and pieces out of the windshield defroster ports.
