I was wondering if anyone has had or heard about a simular
issue...
When going up a hill or hard acceleration my 5.2 Auto starts to
studder a little bit when Overdrive is on. When I turn O/D off,
the problem quickly stops.
I can't see any change in the RPMs. The Truck has 80K, new
plugs and wires 10k ago. All fluids are at proper level.
Not sure if Tranny has been service. I bought the truck 10k ago
and was told all services have been done.
Anyone have any ideas?

Had a friend's Chev Suburban do that. The OD was shot.
Having said that, it may easily be something else. Check with a reputable tranny shop if you want.
Plus I would find out what they put in the tranny. Is it Mopar brand fluid and filter?
I don't buy a lot of stuff from the dealer, put that is something I swear by. Don't use any additives in the tranny either, plus make sure it was "flushed", not just "pan emptied & refilled".
The Amsoil sponsor on this site says his lube is the best for Mopar trannys. Never tried it, so can only tell what I know from experience.

a reputable tranny shop will tell you to use LSD additive in it for the friction modifier even if you use mopar tranny fluid. it will extend tranny life, and shift better.

when in OD the torque converter locks ups making the trans and engine being a 1:1 drive... the torque converter sometimes develope a slight warp that cause a shutter.... there's an additive that you can add to the trans thats like a super slick liqiud thats suppose to stop the shutter... worse case is you might have to replace the torque converter...
