 Subject: 93 fuel injectors

Have a 93 CC, 5.2 - 2wd, with 160,000 kms,
Truck does not have same power once had, fuel economy is down by 4mpg since first owning the truck at 60,000 kms. Once in a while truck will start up and run rough, give an engine code. Something to do with fuel injector. Would you have the injectors cleaned? Or buy new? Hoping this will help bring back milage, power. Truck has had a new fuel pump,belly pan gasket done, new rotor,cap,plugs,wires - actually runs ok most of the time. It will still ping on highway in high gear at times, wondering if this could be a clogged/faulty injector? Any thoughts?

If it was me I would replace them,someone around here knows where to get them for a reasonable price I'm sure.

you can clean them with a fuel injector cleaner that hooks up to fuel pressure test port.... basicly you run the truck and get it to operating temp.... disable fuel system start the truck let it use what gas is left in the ins fuel rail.... when stalls out shut off truck... hook up the fuel injector cleaning kit strat truck and let it run till stalls out.... injectors are clean and you can enable the fuel pump and drive to see if your power came back.... dodge stock injectors only have one spray hole where the fuel comes out.... Bosch has an injector that has 4 spray holes that allows the fuel to spray out in a better pattern allowing for more power and better running condition.... you might have to do a search on here... theres a post in here thats from last year that someone posted a link to site where you can get the injectors....

dont forget the ox sensor.
it tells the ecm how to run.
its only 50 dollars us.
injectors 350 us.

I have some injectors from a 3.9 that I will sell for cheap... Not many miles on them and they ran great but I am parting out the engine so if you're interested, they are yours
