Subject: Totally stumped...PLEASE HELP!!! IP: Logged
Message: I have a 92 dak 318 4x4 and i just recently put in a Mopar PCM. Shortly after putting it in my check engine light came on and the truck lacks performance and when i get to about 45 it shakes like a mother and my exhaust starts sounding funny and the higher speed i reach the less the shaking occurs. It will be fine for a couple of days and then the light comes back on and acts this way. One minute its fine and then the next minute it acts up. The code i get is 27 which i found on allpar to be..
"27 Injector circuit isn't switching when it's told to (TBI)
OR (MPI) injector circuit #1 not switching right
OR (turbo) injector circuit #2 not switching right
OR (all 1990-) injector output driver not responding
- check computer, connections"
I checked the connections and they are fine and i just had my injectors cleaned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Message: Did you put in a mopar performance PCM, or just a replacement ? Did the truck run well on the old PCM ?
Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Message: Yeah the PCM is in my truck now. Today the truck is running fine
and last night it wasnt. Yes the truck ran well with the old stock
computer. Im going to switch back to the stock one tonight and see
if that solves it but i dont know if that will fix it or not. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help

Message: Hmm.. one thing that will mess with you is BAD CONNECTIONS.
You could pull the main harness from the PCM and look at the pins. With a SMALL screwdriver or similar, you can tighten each female pin in the connector so you know it is making a GOOD connection. A bad connection there would defenitely give you that problem.

Message: Is there any way of cleaning where the plug goes in because there is some white looking residue on the bottom on a few of the posts? Thats the only difference i can see between the stock and the Mopar PCM. Thanks Graphite for your input.
