Message: My money is on the tansmission causing this problem on you Dakota. Although, there could be many more reasons for a "shake" above 50 while under acceleration.
2) Drive shaft out of balance
3) tires out of balance
4) etc.

I know that happens to me!

Message: my money is on the tranny. if that tranny is still under warrantee, bring it back and have them look at it. If anything else, doing that should rule out the tranny.
Its possibly the torque converter lockup.
If it is, then the sh!tbags used the old t-converter. This is all assumeing you blew the tranny, and had it towed to their shop where they did all the work. Or you used the old one like a moron. Either way keep us updated.

Message: Wow nice to see i got so much input so fast :P i hooked it up to a scan tool at school yesterday and got a few codes indicating that (P0135) 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) (P0132) 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank I Sensor 1)... i ran these codes on shopkey5 and found out that a likely problem is a short to the 02 sensor on the driver side according to that... im going to check it out after school today see what i can find. if that is hte problem it could cause my others. if that doesnt solve it ill look into the tranny mount and such. when the tranny went originally my dad had driven it to work and the tranny cooler line got a clog and the tranny over heated and it wasnt pretty lol... no mud on the tires and theres no snow yet :( and i did a full alignment yesterday so i know thats not the problem... all tires are balances and inflated at the same pressure... ill post later with what i find... thanks again

Message: If it only happens under acceleration, and not while slowing under a nearly closed throttle or steady cruise, then it's driveline and not tires, suspension, or steering.
My first choice would be drive shaft - out of balance or needs new joints. Second would be differential. Reach up there and grab the dri9ve shaft. Try turning it. Backslash is measured in thousands of an inch. If you can rotate it a measurabel amount, you need a diff rebuild.
Shake the driveshaft up and down. If it clunks, replace the U-joints and any support bearings.

Message: It was being caused by a dead miss on multiple cylinders robbing all power between 1k and 2k while at 50ish mph and therefore only felt under acceleration. i got it fixed with noting major plus threw in a new upper ball joint on te passenger side yesterday. I need to check my pitman and idler arms for wear and possibly replace them. Not in relation to this problem but because I believe one of them needs to be replaced. Thanks again
