I have a 97 cc 4X4 5.2 and the check engine light is on. The code is 138 on the generic scan tool which is voltage shorted to 02 sensor. I checked all the wires and sensors and can't find the problem. I think the scan tool might be wrong or something. Also the abs and brake lights are on and I can't figure out why. The speedometer works fine so I don't know if its the senors or what.

The abs and brake is a speed sensor. May effect O2 but i am not sure why. May be two seperate issues. Replace speed sensor and see if it fixes your problem.

Wehn you check the wires try to clean up the grounds and check ur fuses with a multimeter... sometimes they can look fine but be blown... the heat shield on my 97 dropped down on top of the
O2 sensor and rubbed on it so mayb that could be your problem as well... could be causing a dead short...
