i got a set of used headers for my 2000 4.7 cc 4x4 and don't want to install them until i get a better y-pipe. so far i have a custom exhaust system with a hi-flow cat and flowmaster 40 series piped out the back. the only thing original is the manifolds and the y-pipe, and i want to replace both of them while i am under the truck. my truck came factory with the one cat. there are no precats on the y-pipe. i know there out there, i think bassani makes them but can't find any info. anybody got advise, pics, and or part numbers? any info would be great.

I had the muffler shop had to fab it on and ad a little but it worked great on my 2003 4.7.Kind of pricy for not bolting right on but I wanted the best.Any muffleer shop will make ihttp://www.autoanything.com/exhausts-mufflers/61A2673A0A0A2084298.aspxt work.

I see after I posted this you already have the high flow cat.Would have to call them and see if they will just sell the Y.

I'd install the headers just to be curious if your buttdyno notices anything from the stock manifolds. That's an ongoing debate. So doing the y-pipe at the same time you wont be able to tell how much was headers only.
