Subject: in need of y-pipe IP: Logged
Message: i got a set of used headers for my 2000 4.7 cc 4x4 and don't want to install them until i get a better y-pipe. so far i have a custom exhaust system with a hi-flow cat and flowmaster 40 series piped out the back. the only thing original is the manifolds and the y-pipe, and i want to replace both of them while i am under the truck. my truck came factory with the one cat. there are no precats on the y-pipe. i know there out there, i think bassani makes them but can't find any info. anybody got advise, pics, and or part numbers? any info would be great.

Message: I'd install the headers just to be curious if your buttdyno notices anything from the stock manifolds. That's an ongoing debate. So doing the y-pipe at the same time you wont be able to tell how much was headers only.
